RIG celebrations

On Sunday January 29th and Sunday February 5th there will be a big RIG celebration
in the Laugardalsholl Sports Hall. The winners in each sport category will receive special
prizes after some great entertainment with music and other fun stuff. The event starts
at 18:30 with dinner. Tickets for the dinner can be bought for 3999 ISK. Registration
will open soon. After 19:15 there is free admission for all RIG participants.

Steakbuffet - January 29th. 2017

Owenbaked lamb with wildmushroom sauce, garlic marinated turkey. Chicken pasta with
dried tomatoes and rucola. Ginger rice dish with sesame, potato gratin, butter fried root
vegetables, fresh salat and more. Freshly baked bread, butter and pesto.

Steakbuffet - February 5th. 2017

Seasoned lamb with wildmushroom sauce, Honey glazed turkey. Salami pasta with spinach
and olives, fried potatoes withgarlic and parsley,ovenbaked root vegetables. Barley dish
with broccoli and beetroot, fresh salat and more. Freshly baked bread, butter and pesto.

Eating out

Around 15 restaurants are within walking distance of the Laugardalur area.
The Icelandic restaurant scene is characterised by an imaginative use of
pure Icelandic ingredients such as fresh fish and seafood, organic lamb
and wild game.
