The athletics part of Reykjavik International Games is an invitational international competition which takes place on Saturday, 15th of January 2011.
Reykjavik International invitational invites good international competitors to compete against all the best Icelandic top level athletes each year. Over the years athletes from Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Hungary, Morocco and the Faeroe Islands among others have taken part in the Games.
Arena: Laugardalshöll in Laugardalur the main sports complex of Reykjavik city (The Icelandic National Indoor Athletics Arena) 200m banked Mondo track with 4 lanes and 8 lanes on 60m. IAAF Certified. Top class arena. Competition: Age groups for men and women 2011: Seniors only
Scheduled Events in 2011. Men and women: 60 m 60 m hurdles, 400 m, 800 m, 3.000m, 4x200 m relay, Shot Put, Long Jump, Pole Vault and High Jump Women.
Timetable 2011: Saturday January 15, 14:00-16:00 hrs.
